Day 292: Neighborhood Harvest

Stuck. At. The. Airport. I had planned to be in California this evening, but it looks like I won’t end up seeing the west coast until about 4 AM. Time enough to find a project to love.

Today’s project doesn’t need much explanation beyond the words ‘public garden’. I love growing food and I wish I’d done more of it in my life. It’s a little magical to watch something grow day by day, to tend it and nurture it, ultimately to let it nourish you. After caring for it, you more than just taste it. A public garden lets a whole community take part in that magic as it shares the fruits of it’s labor. Check it out and back it before October 28.
