I don’t know just yet whether I’ll one day be a father (there’s definitely a part of me that hopes to), but if I do have kids someday, I’d want to give them the world. I’d want them to grow up knowing they could go anywhere, see anything, do anything, become anything. I’d want them to want to learn and explore and see opportunities everywhere. I’d want them to have fun. Today’s project is one father’s quest (actually, one father accompanied by over 100 illustrators, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands and wives alike…) to make leave the world a little better than he found it, so that his kids and thousands more will grow up to do the same.
Chocolate Chips & Rocket Ships is a children’s book containing 99-and-one-half poems, and 100 illustrations. Intrigued by the incongruity? Me too. Time to check it out:
From June 4th all the way through September 10, one new poem and accompanying illustration every day for 100 days, right here on KickStarter.comand on ChocolateChipsAndRocketShips.com. We want to share the poems and illustrations online all summer, and get the hardcover book to all of you in time for Christmas!
Offering these poems for free online is a sign of how passionate the creators and artists are about leaving a legacy of wit and whimsy in their wake. It’s a fun project with a big heart for little people. Help it stand tall by backing it before July 4.
